SEO and a Special Gift for You!

SEO and a Special Gift for You!

SEO can be confusing at first… In all honesty…if you’re just getting started with this whole Internet thing it can be a little confusing and overwhelming. Let me try to clear some of that up for you.   It’s kind of like learning a new language, SEO, Meta tags, RSS feed, back links, syndication. Give me a break. What is the world are they talking about? First of all…What is SEO? It means Search Engine Optimization. It’s how the Search Engines select your material and distribute it. No one likes to be confused and overwhelmed. Especially when you are paying money for that privilege! Wouldn’t it be nice if someone would just give us some basic information? Like how do I set up a blog! What is SEO and how do I use it? Where do I start? What do I do First? Then what do I do next? Well, trust me the information is out there. You can find it on Google. You can find it on Youtube. Or you can trust someone to show you where that magic staircase is. The staircase that will take you step by step to the TOP. You can do this on your own if you have an unlimited amount of time to devote to SEO research. You can also find people that you can outsource your content to and they will provide your SEO for you. You may want to wait until you’re making money before you explore that option. Other folks just don’t feel successful unless they’ve paid their dues and done all the hard work themselves. Well, GOD loves...
Auto-Responder, Be Sure to Send the Right Message?

Auto-Responder, Be Sure to Send the Right Message?

How do you know you are making the Right Connection with your Auto Responder follow up messages?     Hey Guys, I want to get into the habit of sharing helpful information with you and this week I’ve spent some time setting up a new auto responder sequence. I’m sure some of you have done that as well and you may have given yourself a headache trying to figure of the best way to reach your target audience. I’m going to share a few simple tips here that will serve to give you some direction so you are not just flappin’ all over the place. This guideline will keep you on track as you build an effective way to communicate with those that have opted in to your list. Auto responders help you optimize your time and effort. Before I share these tantalizing tidbits with you let me just make this statement: There are very few EXPERTS on line or off line. Remember that! Also remember that a valuable Coach, Mentor or Professional in any field, honestly just knows where to go to find the appropriate answer for the appropriate question. They guide you down the path of success and they help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be!   So before I begin I will give credit where credit is due. These suggestions came from one of my friends and mentors, Jaden, a young man that has made over 500K from blogging alone. I value his advice and I hope you will too. This blog is set up to be “interactive”. The more I hear back...
HOW CAN I SPEED UP MY BLOGGING?

HOW CAN I SPEED UP MY BLOGGING?

Don’t get hung up on the headline. Write it last and use this. If you spend more than 1 minute trying to word a sentence spit your idea out, and move on. Come back to it later. “Write drunk, edit sober” as Ernest Hemingway would say. Leave formatting until the end. Plan out your posts then connect the dots: Intro (goal is to grab readers attention, explain what they will learn) Point #1 (a sentence of what you want to cover or convey) Point #2 (a sentence of what you want to cover or convey) Point #3… etc. (a sentence of what you want to cover or convey) Conclusion (wrap everything up) Call To Action (What should readers do...
10 reasons why Marketers throw in the towel

10 reasons why Marketers throw in the towel

( this is shared from a site called, “Building A Business”)     These are 10 reasons marketing representatives say they quit the business: 1.  They Misunderstood  Network Marketing A new marketer may have signed up because of the hype, but may not have really understood what network marketing was before committing to it. It’s too confusing and they get a change of heart about the business. 2.  They Don’t Market, they Defend When trying to tell friends and family what they do, marketers surprisingly end up defending themselves and their marketing company instead of recruiting prospect into the business. They get broadsided by words like “scam” and “scheme” without any training on how to respond. This is horribly uncomfortable for them and they give up instead of finding a better way to promote their business. 3.  Ineffective Presentations A short presentation script or elevator speech is extremely important. So it may not be working effectively if it’s not getting results. When someone asks them “what do you do?”, your response needs to be specific and understandable. 4.  They Had An Unqualified Target Market The best elevator speech will still get no results if they are talking to the wrong people. Trying to recruit everybody is as bad as trying to recruit nobody. If you specify your market, you will have a better chance of attracting the right people to your business. 5.  Their Network Was Too Small If you don’t have a network, you must create one. You almost can’t get away from using some form of social media marketing today. But if...
The Internet Works for Old School Baby Boomers too!

The Internet Works for Old School Baby Boomers too!

Baby Boomers have rocked every decade since they were born! Baby Boomers have been on the cutting edge of every new experience in the last 50 years. Everything from hula hoops to McDonald’s to Viagra. Why should Internet Marketing be any different?   Well let me tell you…for me, technology is a little scary! I just recently upgraded to a smart phone. When I think back to all the phobias I attached to Internet Marketing or actually just using the Internet at all. It’s pretty amazing I didn’t stroke out! That’s why I felt the need to write this blog. This goes out to Baby Boomers everywhere… First of all, let’s get a grip. Even if we are over 50, it is NEVER too late to begin again, to try something new or to step out of our comfort zone. If you’re a Baby Boomer, that thinks this stuff is just too crazy to understand. I’m here to tell you that it just ain’t so!   Sure, the Internet can be tricky. Yes, there are some stumbling blocks. There are tricksters and dishonest people out there. Shiny objects everywhere. There are many distractions, just like the real world! Just like in life, you’ve had Teachers, Guides and Mentors that offered advice and showed you the proper way to go. The same is true here on the Internet. I want you to choose good leadership and excellent training in this new adventure. Do you know that there are 1.11 BILLION users on facebook?   The over 50 crowd is the fastest growing demographic on facebook, over 42%...
Avoid the Cycle of the Internet Newbie

Avoid the Cycle of the Internet Newbie

We were all Internet Newbies at one time or another     In the beginning it’s all confusing and nothing makes any sense. Then you see someone make an offer that sounds like it’s exactly what you need to get things figured out. So you jump in hard with both feet, and you know it’s the right thing to do because your sponsor said you need to invest in yourself. You pull out your credit card and you are on your way. But once you get inside you notice that the training is vague and they are talking about things that you’ve never heard of before. You try to get a hold of your sponsor to ask some questions, but they won’t call you back because you’re not producing yet and they only spend their time with those that are producing. You’re Stuck! You’re actually in worse shape now than when you first got started because you’re still confused but now you have less money than when you were confused the first time.   …And so begins the cycle of the Internet Newbie. Don’t Quit and don’t give up. Understand in one way shape or form we’ve all been down similar paths. The trick is to stop the credit card bleeding before it is drained dry. Yes, you do need to invest in yourself and you do need to invest into your business. But, as with any investment we want to minimize the risks while we maximize results. I shot this quick little video for you the other day and I hope it helps you focus and stay centered....
