Where in the World would you like to Retire?

Where in the World would you like to Retire?

Retire to a beautiful climate? have you thought about it?           Have you been thinking about where to retire yet? Maybe you’re already out of the work force. Did you know that there are many beautiful countries around the world where your retirement income can actually go further? You can live a very comfortable lifestyle and still have money left over. This is an article I found in the AARP magazine. I will reproduce some of the information here and add back links if you’d like to know more.   If you are an American reader, one of the considerations of the article is that the environment is friendly to Americans and English is one of the languages spoken.   Too bad that we have to actually look for countries anymore that are “friendly to Americans”. The result of poor leadership from our government! That’s another topic.   From the Article: Best Places to Retire Abroad Imagine waking up under sunny skies in a Latin American paradise, in a spacious, open-terraced home, your backyard dotted with bougainvillea and palm trees. After a swim and a pitcher of fresh-squeezed orange juice, you greet your fellow expats at the plaza, take a short rain-forest hike, volunteer with the local kids, and in the evening savor a delicious dinner of grilled lobster and carne asada at a charming beachfront café—for $30 a couple.   Okay, life abroad is not all palm trees and grilled lobster. There can be restrictions and red tape, language problems and culture shock, distance and sometimes loneliness. But at a time when nest eggs...

Let’s talk about BEER, Bottles or Cans?

This is one of the greatest debates in world of Beer Every Beer lover would have their own perspective on this question. I’d really like to hear your thoughts on the subject here.   My personal opinion goes something like this. If it’s a real hot day there is nothing better than an Ice Cold Beer in an Ice Cold Can.   I like something drinkable so I can chug a couple real quick and cool off a little bit. Bud Light or Coors Light works for me in that situation.   When I’m looking for a full flavored beer and I have the time to enjoy my brew and kick back a little bit. Then I prefer a bottled beer (poured into a cold glass).   Again, my personal favorites would include Sam Adams or something on tap at Four Peaks Brewery. There are a lot of good local brewerys across the country and a few times a year I like to go sampling.   Now in this article today, I’ll be sharing how one of my favorite brewers resolved this age old question. How can you keep the flavor quality intact when you put it in a can?   They did their research and this is their conclusion. Maybe we should think outside the box a little bit…I mean Can.     BEER, The Bottle vs Can dilemma.   Hope you find this as interesting as I did.         (CHEERS, this was taken at the Michigan BeerFest)   Samuel Adams, Beer in a Can By: Jim Koch | Published: March 19th, 2013 From the...

Live Like You were Dying…

I love that song by Tim McGraw. Have you ever really listened to the words and let them sink in?   I’m sure that many of you reading my blog are building your own business. You’re probably locked into that “Make it Happen” mode or the “Whatever it Takes” place. I understand that, we bust our butt for a few intense years to get that Passive Income machine cranking. Then we relax and enjoy life. I’m just going to suggest that we appreciate the Here and Now, while we are Here and Now. Don’t let your priorities slip away. Make sure you’re sharing a lot of love with your wife and your children or anyone else in your inner circle. Those of us that own Home Based Businesses are a driven bunch of people. If we lose sight of our priorities we can end up driving the ones that are most important to us away. You really don’t know what tomorrow will bring so don’t put things off until tomorrow that you can do today. I got to thinking about this on my drive home. I lost a good friend at work today. One minute he was talking and joking like always. The next half hour he was gone from a massive heart attack. The thing that I admired most about my friend was that he worked hard and he worked long hours, but he also played hard. He took weekend get-a-ways and he spoiled his grand-children. I’ve got a feeling that as he looked back on his life he was...
